LET’S MAKE SOMETHING SWEET

A few simple steps.

  1. 01

Heat the oven to 350 F / 175 C (155 C fan). Line a small ovenproof dish about 12 cm square. Melt chocolate and butter gently, then let the mixture cool until just warm.

  2. 02

Whisk egg and sugar together. Stir in melted chocolate, then fold in flour, cocoa and salt until no dry flour remains.

  3. 03

Spread in the dish and bake for 16-20 minutes until the edges are set and the centre reaches 160 F / 71 C with no liquid batter remaining.

  4. 04

Cool in the dish for at least 20 minutes before cutting into 2 generous portions. The brownies firm up as they cool.
