LET’S MAKE DINNER

A few simple steps.

  1. 01

Warm the oil in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Finely chop the garlic and stir it in for 30 seconds. Add the orzo and stir for a minute.

  2. 02

Pour in 400 ml stock. Simmer gently for 8 minutes, stirring often; add the remaining stock in small splashes if the pan gets dry.

  3. 03

Add the frozen peas and simmer for another 3–5 minutes, until the orzo and peas are tender. Add water if needed; the finished dish should be loose, not soupy.

  4. 04

Take off the heat. Stir in the cheese, pepper, lemon zest and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Taste before adding more juice or salt and serve in two bowls.

A note from the kitchen

Choose vegetarian cheese and vegetable stock if cooking for vegetarians.
